At least you saw some birds and had fun chasing them. That's what hunting is about. Besides, think of all the work you saved yourself. Packing, plucking, cooking...probably better for you this way.

I really did have a lot of fun this year and learned some lessons
I think its good to make some mistakes.. It humbles and makes better hunters out of us.
this year I used mouth calls more than ever and am getting much more confidant with them .. they just sound more natural.
this is the first year I called in birds with them too.

I have taken the turkey course but have never hunted them. From what I hear they are alot of fun to hunt. That's awesome that you learned more about them and tried some new. That's what I love about hunting whether it's deer, turkey, whatever. There is always something to learn no matter how long you have been hunting. I'm glad you had a great time.

X2! The hunt is the fun part, the work starts after the kill. I don't hunt turkey, but I know it's not easy!
At least you got out and put in the time.
