well I got skunked this year in the turkey woods
its over today and I sure got some experience this year..i wont bore yall with the details but I should have tagged out ..made some mistakes , had some birds out smart me , and just had luck go the wrong way a few times..
BUT!! I had a lot lot of fun...hate to see it end and cant wait till next year

At least you saw some birds and had fun chasing them. That's what hunting is about. Besides, think of all the work you saved yourself. Packing, plucking, cooking...probably better for you this way.

I think its good to make some mistakes.. It humbles and makes better hunters out of us.
this year I used mouth calls more than ever and am getting much more confidant with them .. they just sound more natural.
this is the first year I called in birds with them too.

I have taken the turkey course but have never hunted them. From what I hear they are alot of fun to hunt. That's awesome that you learned more about them and tried some new. That's what I love about hunting whether it's deer, turkey, whatever. There is always something to learn no matter how long you have been hunting. I'm glad you had a great time.

X2! The hunt is the fun part, the work starts after the kill. I don't hunt turkey, but I know it's not easy!

Strum sorry to here Lady Luck left you durin the turkey season. Pick up yer head friend, i have lived on my place 5 yrs & have never had a turkey come to me durin huntin seasons. I killed many of them down home when i was younger,much!. Very few turkeys here, so i am into the tick toters more.
