Cracked limb tips M330

Post by buttnbuck »

Well i have my M330 up for sale, decided to go out this morning for one last turkey hunt with her, if i killed a turkey, i was gonna keep it. Well sitting in the blind had a coyote come in at 25 yards, decided to put a quill threw him. Don,t know what happen but as i squeezed the trigger a god aweful rattle come from the xbow bow. Proceeded to check all screws make sure everything was tight and upon further inspection noticed both limb tips were cracked all the way around where there glued on to the limb tips  So i guess it's going back for warranty work.

It seems like there have been a lot of posts with people having limb tip issues lately. Sorry to hear about yours buttnbuck. At least they will rectify it quickly for you.

Then there's some guys who have horse shoes! My very first shot with my 330 was a dry-fire.....continuing the legend.

Sorry to hear of it, but it will be taken care of, and you'll be good as new.

I'm thinking the same thing, but I think that's the first I've heard of both of them doing that. Starting to wonder if Excalibur got a bad batch of glue or something, this shouldn't be happening.

Response from Peter The Marketing Dude:

I just wanted to pipe in here and make a few comments about the Matrix limbs. As many of you know I take care of our warranty department and I track every failure regarding any crossbow or accessory component. The Matrix limb failures have been significantly less percentage wise than any limb we have ever made. The difference is out sales volume is substantially higher plus social media now lets more people know of every problem.
We also test our limbs to thousands of cycles so we know when or if they will fail. This does not mean we will never have a failure but the percentage is less than 1%.

Thanks for piping in Peter. That is definitely comforting to hear. I was really wondering if that was the case.

I have the proverbial horseshoe too. I dry-fired my 330 on day one...no issues at all to date.

I have a few sets of Danny's stoppers and a couple of ADFs but nope! Had to shoot it ASAP! Distracted by my dog waltzing around the target!

Yep, not my first time shooting a xbow  I've not even put a hundred arrows through this thing yet, had issues from day one. Now in saying that, thank god for our local archery shop, they are going to swap me out another set of limbs and send mine back so i don't miss the up coming 3d shoot this weekend. Sorry don't mean to be snarely just getting very frustrated. Shooting the stock diabolo's and 125gr. points so not shooting under arrow weight........don't get it.
