M330 arrows

Post by red splinter »

What arrow could be cut down to 15-16 inches to use with the 330? I don't like the way the 18 inch arrows stick out. Would they be accurate?

Today I spent a whole enjoyable afternoon shooting the 330 and 405 and what an afternoon it was. The 330 is one nice compact, light shooting package and cutting the 18 Diablos to 16 inches should not present any unwanted problems.

I just tried 2216 cut to 15.5(you get 2 crossbow arrows out of one full length arrow shaft.) 125gr head with 3 blazers and plastic nock=375gr arrow and 17.5ish FOC, 150gr head with 3 blazers and plastic nock=400gr arrow with 19.5ish FOC. these little splinters fly great out of my 330. The best part is they don't melt into targets if you like to shoot 3D. I am also about to test some 16 inch black eagles.

I am shooting BEE's cut down to 17" 110 brass inserts, lumenok, blazers, 100 gr points 408 gr total weight. They shoot great out to 40 yards. I haven't had the chance to try past that.

I shoot 400gr total weight zombies out of mine and they are pinpoint accurate. The 18" arrow is fine. Vertical bow shooters have a lot of arrow ahead of their riser and it doesn't bother them any. With a G5 montec on the 18" zombies, it's past the stirrup about 1/2". The arrow in the photo also has a Lumenock on it.

Either way, you'll love the 330.
