String Testin Chrony Marie Laveau

Post by vixenmaster »

I got to shoot some late yesterday usin a 2216 400gr arrow. I had a 24 strand Astro Flite string i made on her. 337 fps 10 shots. I put on a FF+ 32 strand string i made & shot 10 times fer 336 fps. I put on a 32 strand D97 i had made & 10 shots were 337. I put factory string on shot 5 times got 339 fps 3 times n 340 twice. So the only material i have left to make strings fer the testin is 452X. Plus i want to try couple diff strand counts on few more strings. The factory string seemed to be the loudest but Astro Flite was next & D97. The FF+ from Brownell seemed to be the least noise maker if the 5 strings i have fer her. None of them are quiet usin a 400gr arrow, you may getstid some noise reduction usin a 500gr arrow on up. I will try my 628gr 2216 log when i get to shoot again.

By the time fall rolls around Mike will be dialed in! Sounds good, it will be interesting to see where you wind up with arrow weight, and broadheads.
Have fun! 8)

I made another D97 & after 10 more shots its 337 fps. Strand count hasn't been in my favor. Arrow wt. was 411gr. Reckon i will have to fletch up an arrow about 350gr

I use the C2 crank when shooting the matrix and don't mind saying so ...my back aint what it was in my younger days.
I would say Marie Laveau is spitting them on out there pretty quick.
