YIKES! Looks like Stephen was lucky in his unluckiness! This could have turned out much worse! Best of luck to Stephen!

Stephan and Mrs. Stephan,

Sorry about your unfortunate accident. Although people fall all the time, on an arrow is not a good place to land. We wish Stephan a speedy and complete recovery. Do take it easy until all is healed.

Thanks for the well wishes guys I appreciate it. I am now after 2 days on my feet but still in allot of pain.
Friday I made 2 new bolts up to test and decided to try them out on Saturday, put my bow in the car and went to get my new bolts out of the house. I decided to put a 2 blade broadhead on them which were new and razor sharp, steelforce sharp like an idiot did not put them in my quiver and proceeded to my car. My car is low down and when I got in I caught the fletching side of the bolt in my car seat with the bolt sticking up I fell straight onto it. The blade cut my jeans, T-shirt, boxer shorts and went into my lower back. I got rushed straight to hospital were they did tests for nerve damage and tell me I was very lucky an inch either way and I could of had kidney damage of far worse. Fortunately the blade must of been at an angle and when it hit the lower bone in my back it deflected.
So I think the morale of the story is always respect what these broadheads can do and use a quiver.
Thanks Steven

I'm late in responding, Stephen, just got my computer back from the Fix-it place.

Anyway, I'm happy to hear your alright, even though your in a lot of pain. As everyone knows hunting season is just around the corner, and its nice to have an eye opener. Many of us will be climbing up those treacherous treestands hopefully peering down on game and not falling down on game. Myself I'm putting up 5 treestands for the first time, and after hearing what happened to you I'll definetely be more careful.

I want to go 18 feet up towards the sky, but not heaven!!!

Good luck to all the hunters out there, be careful, and don't forget to kiss your family before you leave,........ just in case.
