Using the goldtip calculator ( i do not have a chrono) I came up with this weight-----
Laser 2- 20 in. at 7.3gr/.in= 146gr
nock-20.2 gr= 20.2
3-2in blazer at 6.2gr= 18.6
insert 21.3 gr= 21.3gr
100gr point= 100gr
TOTAL= 306.1gr
FOC= 14.07%
nock,,insert,,blazer weight from charts/info here.
Would everyone suggest going to 5 inch vanes and 125 gr head giving 347.0 grains and FOC of 14.87 ???
OR have I missed it somewhere ??----THANKS
2+2=4 Or it did,Now I'm not sure..

Well, you want to get over 350 grains, why are you not using brass inserts up front? I suggest sticking with the 2" Blazer vanes, and adding brass inserts up front. If you have access to a lathe, you can part off some of the brass to get lower weight. There are also 25 grain weights available from Gold Tip if you choose that route.
Good luck, and have fun building your arrows!

I shoot the GT Laser II, brass front insert, alum rear insert, 2" Blazers fletched with a 4 degree right offset, and a 125g Broadhead. My arrows weight in at 424g. My arrows also have a white lacquer crest that adds a few grains.
As Xcaliber said, If you want to get to just above 350g (the minimum arrow weight on most, not all, Excalibur crossbows) you will need an aluminum front insert and weights or shave an aluminum insert.
IMO the "recipie" I shoot is one of the most popular for the wider xbows. I learned it here, initially from Awshucks (Dan), and it is/was the most popular for a reason.
What are you shooting them out of?

I'll be shooting them with an equinox and soon a 200# exocet soon as I get riser/limbs re-done....

There's lots of good arrow combos out there. My favorites came from Southshore [Jerry] and are: BEE's, 92 gr inserts, 2" Blazers, plastic nocks, 100 gr points, @ 400 gr total weight.
He described the fletching as 'a lot of helical' but it's no where near what I get w/ the AZ-Ez Bolt. They came numbered 1-12, and there's not a bad one in the bunch of 12.

Here is a link to the Exocet manual from Midway USA (can't find it on Excal's site anymore)
http://media.midwayusa.com/productdocum ... manual.pdf
On page 2, in bold font, it states the minimum arrow weight as 350gr. Don't go below this.
