Man that's messed up, I'd be demanding they replace them with new shafts and then take them to someone else to cut them to length.

Make sure he cuts them all and all at once, including the shortest one.

I have good accuracy with 17" with Trixxi, 355. You might be OK with the 330, but if you have to keep them, have someone else cut them. If that's his signature, they most likely aren't square either.
Bummer man, hope the shop takes care of it.

Was it a new hire behind the cut off saw? Maybe he just had a "cough" -odd smoke break.

I had the same thing happen to me when I bought raw shafts from a well respected shop. walked in and found out it was a new hire that cut them. they replaced with a better shaft gave me free vanes and glue for my time. Now I buy shafts from someone that knows what he is doing behind the saw even though the shafts are longer then he is tall.

I cannot believe or understand how that could even happen! It takes seconds to cut a dozen shafts and you cut them all at once! Are they cutting them with a dremel tool freehand? DO NOT ACCEPT THAT! Return them to the shop and get new ones at the proper length. If there's more to the story and you want to keep them you'll have to remove the inserts and cut to the shortest shaft length. I'd say yes, ruined....I'm still perplexed that any shop would let anything like that go out the door. Hard to believe. :?
