Cracks on limbs

Post by RichardS »

I have what appears to be tiny little cracks on the outside of my limbs. They are more plentiful on one side than the other. some are black and some are still brown. They arent deep. They are very tiny. There are very few or none on the inside of the limbs. The limbs feel smooth to the touch.

Is this something I should be worried about?
I tried to take pics but the cracks dont show at all.

Thanks to anyone who replies!

Do these run length-wise, i.e. parallel to the string?

I wish I could see these or a picture, i could tell pretty quick, however;

If they are short and evenly spaced and run down much of the length of the limb, they sound to my like the typical "feature" you see on these left over from the manufacturing process.

My older Vixen and newer Exocet both have these and the old Vix has launched a lot of bolts.

If this is what we're seeing, I would not be conceerned about it.

No prob.'s

When I first saw these, years ago, they got me going too, I worry a lot and like everything in good shape.

I learned more about these as time went on.

Last year, I got to see the way they are made at the Excal plant, it was very confidence inspiring for me to see the way they are made, they are a good limb :!: :D
