I've tried several scopes on my crossbows over the years, and so far been very happy with the Hawk X B30 SR, nice optics ,compact, illuminated, and marked yardages.

I've looked through Boo's VXR and it is a sweet setup. I opted for a XB30 although the sky is really the limit with optics. I've got optics on my rifles that are north of $2K!!
The XB30 should be an upgrade from the Tact Zone stock but one day I might find mine wearing a VXR with an Optimizer. It really is a nice scope but it is much more than the XB30.

I am wondering would the Hawke XB1 SR be an improvement over the stock scope on the Matrix 355 (Tact-zone) ?

Well I know there are a lot of leupold fans on this forum,And was leaning towards getting one, until I went to gander mountain and compared it to hawk, a Redfeild a Nikon bolt.. I came home got on amazon and purchased me the Nikon xr bolt to me it was not even close. the Nikon smoked all I looked through. I know there is gonna be members jumping all over this. But that's how see it!! and I'm sticken to it. Bubba
