looking good . Yep it dose look like one would have to go out of their way to stick their thumb in the string path .

Looks awesome. I just can not see how anyone could stretch a finger or thumb up to the string when you have built such a comfortable home for them out of the forend. It you are bench shooting then even the finger ridge may not stop a wandering digit.

Put the accents on and am moving on back on the stock catching all the last spots that need shaping.

Got all the rough spot and last shaping done. Notice on the looking down on it pic that the pistol cap is not right. Just a little turn in it. Every time you turn it in a different direction you get a different look at it. Sand away!
