very cool mount ..I would have never thought a crow would look good mounted but it does

I can't believe there was anything left to mount after that 17 hit it.

When I took the shot I had no intention of mounting it as I thought the same as you. After I pulled the trigger and saw him flop over I went out to take a look and there was a pinhole entry and exit wound and almost no blood. Only 3 small feathers were knocked off of him. So I put him in a shopping bag and was at the taxidermist's within 30 minutes of pulling the trigger. The taxidermist also commented on the condition of the bird and said it would be no problem to do up a nice mount.
