I would double-check it with another chrony just to verify that's the actual speed. But that seems to be in the same range as a lot of other 380's I've read about. For whatever the reason there are some 380's that don't get near the advertised speed.

They're not all created equal. Three identical bows side by side and you'd be hard pressed to get the same speed from any of them with the same arrows from the same chrono. I've heard of speeds ranging from 365-385fps. At the end of the day it may feel kinda disappointing to be on the lower end speed wise but ultimately it doesn't really affect anything that noticeably. You'll still be shooting flat and you'll still blast right through anything you shoot at.

don't know what my 380 was getting before the rail was cut to 330..now still at 30 yrds the 18" arrows sinks all the way into an 18" block target were it has to be pushed through with a piece of wood..the limb # on it are in the late 900s some one on here had said higher #s were faster..my 380 never lacked speed..Mongolian warriors would have gone nuts for these bows!

Randy I never checked the speed on mine with a 350 gr. arrow that I can remember before I had my rail cut down. My wife's 330 though shot faster than the advertised speed. I think I was getting around 336 with a stock string and a 358 gr. arrow.

Mine is about a 320 now since I had 2 inches cut off the rail last year and I've gotten passthroughs on all deer except one that I shot in the spine.

Hope you enjoy it and have lots of fun shooting

I got the advertised speed with the Ibex, and 355, but low about 7, or 8 FPS with the Vortex. Still, very happy.

plenty time for the stretch-factor and twist'n required....
333fps @ 505gr, kinda glad jack did it.............
