I got the far back shot off my back porch ant the closer one fom the edge of the bush of the same group. The Turkey population in my area is menancing. I have actually seen a road killed turkey

Nice pictures RichardS, I've never seen Wild Turkeys, ever. We don't have them where we live. I do have a question, are they good eating, or are they much like goose? The kind we eat out of the barn are sure tasty.

Keep'in coming buddy.

Great Photos RichardS ,, if you ever need some help in population control, give me a shout  Looks like a great area you have there..
,, I'm sure they are plentifull,, I was driving home from Peterborough one evening last week saw two deer in a field not far off the road( just South of Bensfort east side of the 115) Had there heads down feeding,,( could'nt tell if the big one was a buck with the head down) But I'll tell you the one was HUGE,, Looked like a small cow  great big body The other was average sized.
Good Luck with your Deer Season

Grey Owl,,, Can't sya I have tasted it yet  But from what I've been told,, they are mighty fine :wink[/b]

For the first question: Anyone can purchase a turkey license there is no draw. The only catch is you must take a 1 day $21 course before you can hunt them.

Grey Owl: Wild turkeys are very good eating. In my eyes they are the most prized game birds in the world! The ones from our barn do carry an edge in tenderness though.

Hope to see something close to that when the season opens this fall. Those pictures sure make Oct. 11 seem along way off. Great job

I would also be interested in any offers to hunt on your property. Although there are many areas that have plenty of turkey much closer. Thanks for the pics.

I had planned on having a few forum members up for a hunt this past spring. Unfortunatley something came up that pretty much destroyed my turkey season. I plan to have a few people up next spring.

Thanks for the intrest in the pictures.

Maybe wth some practice I will be able to get a few shots like Red Label's BEAUTIES!
