Micro testing

Post by mr meat »

Kathys micro got a workout yesterday :D Tried 4 different arras all 18 inch except the Quills, Executioners,Diablos, and Zombies with 125gr FP and 170gr FP. All shots were 20yds and marked each vane and shot each arra 3 times. The most consistent arra was the Zombies :D With the 170gr FP they were pretty well same hole :D and the 125gr FP were about a inch to inch and a half group So she will be heading to the stand Monday afternoon with the Zombies and F,O,Cs
On a side note cocked bow on Thursday at lunch and left cocked till Saturday morning and no stretch in string :D Set bracehight at 1/4inch from stops and put 30/40 shots on it and string never moved :D :D
PS still thinking if i should have one for myself

Meat, I might be pulling the trigger on a micro tomorrow. What inserts did you have in the arrows? I'm trying to figure out what may be the best arrow set up for this bow so I an get some ordered.

Thanks

Bill, that's a dang great thought! I'm with you 100% and the 405 micro would be my second crossbow.....that would over take my beloved little killing machine M380. :D

I don't know what these limbs are capable of, but I found myself thinking along the same lines. For now my 380 is my go to machine.

...I wonder if my agingcrossbower stock will fit on a micro?? my 380 seemed so narrow until the micro. Curse u excal!

I'm cutting some Zombies to 15.0" today, will report back later. The plan is 92 grain inserts, 100 grain heads, total weight about 358 grains!

....a Micro 405, although it sounds wonderful, just sounds like it might be too much for me with a 290 DW or maybe more...Now a Micro 380 with the Micro 335 stock design and a Leupold scope option...now that sounds like music to my ears...trouble is Jelly Belly would have to go...I hope to have that pleasant problem in the future...I can only hope for "JellyBell380" as a new addition to the Romano family...yes it would be a new mouth to feed but I have plenty of food for her...I think she would love some some "Zombie Slayer Stew."
