pictures would help. My micro is flaw free on the limbs. Thumbs up to Excal much better fit and finish IMHO then the Matrix lineup.
If i had to guess i would think its cosmetic only.

If it's what I think it's purely cosmetic and a result of the manufacturing process of the limbs. It will look like hairline grooves running the direction of the limbs lenghtways. If you can shine a bright light on them and look through a magnifying glass you'll notice they aren't actual cracks. I am speculating so I would post some pics or check with Excalibur. This has been a common question.

Pics well help.. I know my new micro has some hollow lines in the limbs.. best way to describe them.. but it looks like just the coating. . Looked at my Vortex and its like that on the its limbs as well.. im guessing its just the finish. :D

I noticed them on my axiom also, didn't really notice them till I shot it some. Seems to me it's just the finish "settling" into the fibers after the limbs have been flexed and shot a few times but I'm no expert.

If I hadn't read a few posts on here about others noticeing the same thing I would have also been concerned. Hopefully it is just a normal occurrence.

I had those on my phoenix a few years back, they replaced the limb no questions.

Thank you I couldn't get theses to load! What I was saying before is these vertical cracks show up when cocked. I think there just cosmetic but want other opinions I will probably contact excalibur after hunting season

No worries on the cosmetic character voids, your limbs are fine.

I'm not as sure as other posters that these are only cosmetic. Are folks actually seeing what the OP is pointing out?

I too have the same voids in my own limbs, but the voids run parallel with the limbs, not perpendicular. If you look at the first picture, at the center of the pic, there is a small dimple right at the edge of the limb which runs parallel with the limb. I would call that dimple a cosmetic void. But if you look at the right side of that dimple you will notice what looks to be a hairline crack that is perpendicular to the dimple, crossing the limb edge.

Likewise in picture three, just over an inch to the right of the dimple you will see a black cammo line, which looks something like a sharpie-drawn arrow extending across the limb face. Notice the similar perpendicular crack/fracture about 1/4 inch to the right of that black line.

Likewise in picture 4, notice the two perpendicular cracks about 1/4 inch on either side of the cammo stripe?

The OP stated that these only show up when the bow is cocked. That tells me they are opening up under tension. None of the cosmetic voids on my limbs open up when I cock my bow, as they run parallel with the limb itself. But a perpendicular void which opens when the bow is cocked is another story. This phenomenon is what occurs when a limb begins to form those irritating splinters which suddenly pop from the edge of a limb.

I would get the limb checked. It doesn't appear to be cosmetic to me.
