My wife's Micro came today that I ordered from George so I decided to do some shooting before dark, I had 2 friends of mine come over that already owned Excals to do some shooting with me and give their opinons also. First of all its a good bit smaller than my Excal 380 and cocks a little harder at the top than my wife's Matrix 330. When it starts getting stiff at the top its already latched. The first thing I did was put it through a chrono outside where it shot 346 fps with the factory Quill that came with it. I weighed the one arrow I shot with a 100 gr. point it weighed 348.8. If I was going to shoot these arrows I would definitely shoot 125 gr. points or broadheads. The Quills as they call it are 16.5 inches I will probably fix up some about 1 inch longer with a heavier arrow. The Micro was a little quieter than my wife's 330 with the stock string and is balanced very well it seems like it just sits there while you're aiiming. I took 2 off hand shots at 30 yards once I sighted it in at one of my 3 D deer and put both arrows within an inch of each other. The Micro seemes to be just as accurate as all the other Excals I've owned but a good bit smaller package. The stock trigger has no creep at all and breaks clean. My wife's 330 had a lot of creep in the trigger as well as my 380 did until I had the trigger worked. My 2 friends that came over one of them friends a 330 and the other has a Vortex both of them loved the little Micro the one that owns the Vortex went home and ordered a Micro he was so impressed by the difference in his Vortex.
I had been hearing the Micros would shoot above their rated speed and they will from what I experienced this afternoon. I was impressed with the feel of the Micro and how small it is and how hard it actually shoots. I put a Flemish string on it tonight and shot some in my building getting the brace height set I'm going to shoot some more in a couple of days and tweak it a little by wraping the stirup and see how it flys with some broadheads. Here a few pics I added of the chrono speed and the difference in the actually size of my Matrix 380 and the Micro. I'm sure I'm going to love it a lot more than my wife will because I will be doing all the testing and shooting.

Dan she's going to be very impressed at well its balanced and how hard it shoots for such a small crossbow. Excalibur has outdid themselves again with this one.

Hey Eric, I couldn't stand it and ordered a Nightmare yesterday as well. Hope to have it in a few days. In preparation, I am planning on taking a few of my 20" Zombies and cutting them down.
Right now they are:
9.1 gr/in x 20 = 182
brass insert = 110
plastic nock = 8
3 Rayzr feathers = 4.6
Total Wt w/ 100gr BH = 405gr
If I cut them to 16" I will lose about 36.4 gr, so I bought some Nu Fletch Ignitor nocks which weigh in at about 39gr. I bought them more to keep the weight up and it will only cost me a little FOC and keep me above 400 with a 100gr head, and if necessary I can go with 125s. I've had good luck with that arrow from my Vortex this year with 5 pass thru's and only 1 not making it through. And that one hit the spine and back hip (bad decision on my part in hindsight)
Just thought I'd throw that out there as a 17" arrow will put that BH out by the stirrup or maybe past it. But that will probably be fine too. My buddy's Matrix 330 shoots 20" arrows just fine.

Nope, and I think someone here did a rough calculation and I think it would require a 425+ pound pull on a 380 mainframe.
