Primary for Antlered/Antlerless for 82a
The first week of October I took a yearling doe at a friends farm in Caledon (78)
The third week of October I took a 4 pt spike at a friends farm south of Mount Forest (80)
Halloween afternoon I took a buck that had 3 points on one side and had his main beam broken off on the other side about 3 inches from his head. This was at a friends farm in 81B so I had to use my primary tag. This left me with an archery doe tag for 82a - this meant party hunting for rifle at the camp in 82a.
Rifle came and went and we had 2 new guys in camp (in addition to my Brother-inlaw and myself) who had never deer hunted before. We made sure they were in the good spots and sure enough they were able to tag out but the BIL and I were shut out. Didn't really matter though as I filled my freezer earlier in the season and we had a great time.
I went out at the camp probably 5 or 6 times after rifle but did not see much.
Today we went up for the last day of ML with my BIL and my son. They both had valid doe tags and I was party hunting on their tags.
Got settled into a makeshift blind behind a big cedar root ball right at the start of legal light. My view down the shooting lane:

This shooting lane intersects a main run between some bedding areas and a turnip food plot.
About 8 am I see some movement about 100 yards to my 10 o'clock. Sure enough a group of 6 does is slowing making their way towards the bedding area. At 8:05 a nice size doe presents broadside at the end of the lane (about 45 yards). I touch off and she takes off and I very quickly hear a solid crash. I text my BIL and son and sit down to wait. Well I see movement again at my 10 o'clock and sure enough the other 5 that ran off are coming back. I text my BIL and son with an update and quietly reload. They know something is going on and hang up about 20 yards from my lane. I wait for another 20 minutes while they make up their minds and finally a big doe decides everything is good and steps broadside into the lane in the exact position the first one took. The ML barks again and short run followed by another load crash.
I text the others and take a quick look around. Both deer are within 30 yards of the lane and only 10 yards apart.
On the toboggan on the way to the truck:

So that's 5 deer (2 - ML, 3 - 405) in the freezer and means I will be giving away a whack of venison this Xmas.
