O/T wild looking crossbow

Post by Carnivorous »

What do you think of this design?? I would have to shoot it before I could post an informed opinion however it does look a bit awkward...

A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

I don't know but the way that scope is hung out over the end of the rail it looks like it would be bouncing around all over and hard to keep set...

Agree on scope mount, one bang and that succer is bent. Would not want to have a beard and shoot this one! Sure looks like string be against face.

I agree. That string would be way too close to your face or body. Wouldn't want to be wearing any kind of loose clothing while shooting that.

I think its a money saver.. when you get ready to shoot it your saliva acts like a string wax and a rail lube. Hummm I say. Price of new lips? Nope I am wrong! I think I have to stick with somthing that doesn't require a kisser button.

I do not like the design, that scope rail looks awfully vulnerable and the string so close to your face could tear out your facial hair! Darton makes a good product as far as I know and they're made in MI.

It's funny you posted this Jeff because I was sitting in my treestand just yesterday, looking at my bow and I was thinking, could you imagine how short you could make a recurve crossbow with that concept? Then I got to thinking, that'd increase powerstroke a few inches too. Then I realized that Bowtechs use a similar platform...I'm thinking you'll see Excals sporting something similar one day.

I'd never thought of that.
