My only x-bow I bought in 2002 when I decided to start deer hunting. The biggest baddest bow on the line at the time, the Exomag.

That year they changed the start of bow season from Oct 15 to Oct 1, and on Sept 29 my bow wasn't in yet!! I was some upset after all the scouting I'd done.

I went to the local bow shop on Sept 30, sighted it in at 25 yards with the factory sight, and went to bed happy.

In the morning of Oct 1, I shot my first ever deer. A 286 lb 9 point buck at 27 yards. What a blast!! It's still a deer killer.

All I ever did was put a home made stock and a scope on it.

Don't look at the antlers!! And don't look him in the eye!!

2002 Exomag
Custom wood stock with a lot of notches in it
Big John arrows
Loving every minute of it.
The only thing better than a dog, is two dogs.

I am currently hunting with an Ibex crossbow. It has served itself very well, but I'm selling it to buy a Micro very soon.

Doesn't matter what you shoot, it will probably be "old school" by the next season. That's the results of research & development, and marketing for any product there's a demand for.

I just stick with my Phoenix, it still kills deer and it's paid for!

This is my first year with my Excalibur Axiom.
What is the difference between the older models and say the Axiom? The Axiom doesn't seem as "refined" as some of the newer faster models.
