Hunting Land

Post by A.W »

I think it was last December when I posted about a client/buddy who had purchased some land. I thought it was 200 acres but it's actually 400 acres. As soon as he closed the deal he called me at work and informed me that I have full use of the property.

Anyway I haven't been to the property yet due to the fact of him being too busy. This weekend we are meeting up and he's going to walk me around the land.

Here's the good part. Another good friend of mine owns a twin engine plane, I've flown with him several times, and he will take me up so that I can get some ariel (sp?)photos. Just can't get better than that.....One hour drive from home.

Boy !!! One hour from T.O. That land must be worth a pretty penny. Four Hundred acres is a lot of land for just the 2 or 3 of you. Does this fellow have accomadations on this property?? If he does ya got it made.

Grey Owl.

My buddy doesn't hunt and I'm the only one allowed to hunt along with whom ever is with me. No building on the property yet but he owns his own construction business.

Good for you AW

Finding a place to hunt can be like pulling teeth.. Either someone already hunts the land or the land owners do not want hunting on their property..

Good Luck to ya!

How do you find 400 acres within an hour of Toronto?!

Drive a little north and a bit east. I used to live north of Port Perry and this property is east of that. Scugog area.

I used to live a bit of west of there in Goodwood. I know that area pretty well.

Oh, Scugog. Oshawa gun club is there.
There's tons of deer and turkey there.
Oh man, you're lucky...

Never mind accomodations, I'll sleep in my truck given the opportunity
to hunt ;-) That's what I do quite often.
