Venison meals post our North Carolina white tail season hunt

Post by Patriot* »

Our whitetail season ended here Dec 28th :( but that opens up the door to enjoying the deer we have been lucky enough to harvest this past season. :D We closed out with (6) tags filled and filled our freezers.
Here are a few dishes that we really enjoy-

Here is a grilled butterflied tenderloin, hickory smoke bacon wrapped with a thin slice of onion. Off the charts!

Our made from scratch venison spicy breakfast sausage and bacon burger chili with a little extra kick!

This morning I made good on my promise to Kathy to grill up some of our venison spicy breakfast sausage, its really hard to eat anything else away from home.

Last but certainly not least our Venison meat sauce with pasta…

It has been a good season ladies and gents and we have been blessed. If you are ever in the Western NC, drop in for lunch or dinner, we will share a meal and a few funny stories. We also hunt pheasant, dove and quail. We like "from field to table" and we promise you won't go home hungry. :D

Happy New Year to all,
Dave & Kathy

From one foody to another, let me tell you that everything looks delicious and your offer is very gracious indeed. I would love to take you up on it one day...and also to reciprocate. :D

Thank you all for the kind replies gents much appreciated. The grilled tenderloin with a sliver of onion wrapped in smokebacon is one of my favorites for grilling.

Terry,
If you come all the way down to North Carolina, we'll be happy to feed you all the biscuits and gravy you can handle and even have you try a local southern delicacy called Livermush!
