Love the ADF !!!
Well today I thought I would field test the ADF that I recently put on my 355
Actually I didn't mean to field test it , it just worked out that way ! I did it once years ago when I first got my Vortex and got lucky that it didn't damage anything . Sure was glad I had Danny Miller send me the ADF for my 355 . If anyone is thinking of getting one I would HIGHLY recommend them .

Re: Love the ADF !!!
I first thought the adf was a big pain until I got use to it on the 380 . After a few weeks I don't think I would want a bow without one ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: Love the ADF !!!
I've had my 380 for 16 months now and have yet to experience the "thrill"!!! I hope not to, but stuff happens, and the ADF is reassuring. It adds to the noise of an already noisy package, but I'm slowly learning to move past that as a bothersome issue, and just remember to aim at the heart. ![Cool 8)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)

It makes you repeat yourself tooconfederate wrote:So the ADF makes noise ?

I've never thought about it but I guess it would have to make noise....the string stop latch is gliding along on top of the arrow and snaps down after the arrow/string passes underneath. I don't notice any noise that I could pinpoint as coming from the adf........cause there is a lot of noise going on from other places lol

It makes a click when it closes, but MUCH quiter than the trigger jaws slapping back up from the 260 lb string pull. That is LOUD!!!! ![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

Re: Love the ADF !!!
Hmmmm, I've never noticed any noise from the ADF. Not saying it's not there but as mentioned there are jaws flipping up, limbs flying forward and a a string thumping on bumpers. I have not perceived any noise, jmo..
You're only paranoid if everyone isn't out to get you.

Re: Love the ADF !!!
The last dryfire I had was in 1995. That's 3yrs after getting my very first crossbow and a total of now 20 years ago. However, it is possible that it could happen again, so I picked one up for my 355. That was a little over a year ago and I have yet to install it. Actually thought about including it with the Eclipse XT package I have up in the trading post. lol I guess, hate messing with perfection, either that or I'm a huge procrastinator. lol
