Who Uses A Arrow Retention Arm Noise Dampener?

I'm considering getting one from Limbsaver but before I do, I was wondering who used them or something like them and what your thoughts are on them.

Also, has anyone got the new airbrakes yet or at least tried them and if so, what's your thoughts?

I wrapped the retainer end in inexpensive moleskin and added 1/2 strip Limbsaver to the upper about halfway down as a fix.

I have a Limbsaver mini on my 380, the little round one about the diameter of a nickel. Does it help? Ehhh, maybe. On my Exo I have the Limbsaver that kind of looks like a double "H". I also did the shrink wrap on both bows but it wore through where the arrow slides against it so I took it off and never replaced it, I honestly couldnt tell much difference with or without it.

Norm, I had moleskin on my arrow retainer and was really proud of the nice job I did fitting it on there. Boo looked at it for a minute, dug around in his gear and handed me a piece of shrink tubing! I dont think he liked the moleskin. Gotta love him.

I put a piece of heat shrink tubing on mine years ago. All I had was a lovely blue color. Seven years have passed and its still there. Maybe this year I'll replace it with something more camo like black.

Duct (Duck) tape fixes everything. JK.........eyeglasses yes.........arrow retainers no. Going to put some shrink tube on mine I'm thinkin'

...shrink wrap tubing for me too on my ....Nightmare 335 .... also....found it in "tactical black" in a well known "tactical supply store" ....named Home Depot ...double shrink wrapped the tip!

Mine covers the whole retainer up under the scope the rubber dampens the click of the tip hitting the rail and the double thickness absorbs some vibration I don't just do the tip

A few questions about the shrink tubing.

1) can I get it lowes and if so, what size?
2) do you just slide it on and if so, how/what do you use as a heat source to shrink it?
3) how far up the arm do you go and won't the tubing on the bend closest to the barrel slow the arrow down?

Nawww, look closer, he has one layer run on up a couple inches and a second layer on the tip. Looks great A. Is that one of Danny's wild color strings? looks good too.

What size tubing did you use for your Micro arm?

Moleskin for me. It's a lot slippery than shrink tube made of some sort of rubber. Love the moleskin.
