What Yardage Do You Zero At?
I have always zeroed my scope at 20 yards and then compensate for drop at 30 yards. All of my shots are typically between 10 and 30 yards. For next season I am contemplating zeroing at 25 yards so for any distance between 20 and 30 I need not make any adjustments.
I was curious what yardage everybody zeros their scope at?

Re: What Yardage Do You Zero At?
I zero at 25 yards.
I shoot a red dot with a reticle that gives me similar range as a 3 dot version.
With my arrows it gives me 17 yards, 25 yards and 33 yards on my aim points.
I have never shot further than 32 yards so that worked for "ME".
Depends what you are shooting and how far away it "typically" is. That will determine where you should zero.

Re: What Yardage Do You Zero At?
My Varizone crosshairs are zeroed at 10 yards and the 3 chevrons are used in 10 yards increments, 20, 30 and 40, with it set at 300 fps. My Dot scope which I prefer for the woods, because I can use both eyes easily, in the darker conditions, is zeroed at 25 yards. The center dot has a vertical line below it and I can use the top of it for 30 yards or aim with the dot the same amount under a target for 20 yards or less.

I would use this chart to see what kind of arrow drop you'll get and sight in accordingly.
You see after 30 yards it's dropping fast.

I have the Viper XBR on my 405 zeroed at 28 yards. That way between 20-35 yards I am within an inch, i.e. no hold over between those ranges.

Re: What Yardage Do You Zero At?
First crosshair (zero I guess) is 20 yards. Then increases in 10 yard increments to 100 yards. I shoot a LOT at extended ranges, and thus the decision for the Hawke XB 30 Compact Scope. Didn't want the extra fiddling with an HHA.

Re: What Yardage Do You Zero At?
My single red dot is dead on at 30 yds & its 3 1/2" high at 20 yds. So i aim bottom of heart. Scope on Marie Laveau is 20 yds & its aim pts hit 30/40/50 & 60 yds. Kong is on at 30 n every 10 yds to 70 yds

Re: What Yardage Do You Zero At?
Using my Exomax with a Lumizone scope shooting Firebolts and 100 gr heads, I zero at 20 yards which puts each chevron bang on from 10 - 50 yards.
If I strictly hunted deer with the bow I would likely use a scope with normal crosshairs and zero at 30 yards as being off an inch or two isn't a big deal. However, I also use my Exomax for small game and with targets being quite small at times (sniping squirrels and rabbits out to 50-60 yards is awesome practice!) I really need the scope with multiple aiming points.
