Hmmmm. Very interesting indeed. It may cost a bit more but I would send the whole front end minus the stirrup to Danny. As for fear of stripping the heads of the bolts, which I've done a lot, get some good 1/4" driver bits and pound it in with a hammer then attach your handle to the driver and remove the fastener. This was Boo's advice to me and it's saved me much grief.

did this just happen?...or do you think it was always this way and you just noticed?
believe me I would have noticed it before since I can compete head to head with many of you on this board for being obsessive and compulsive
I only noticed it immediately after changing the string for the first time...

I think I'm having the same problems with my 380 also. Haven't gone thru everything yet. I haven't been able to get one of the 2 bolts that hold the limb on out yet. More later if I have a problem also. Good luck on your Micro. Fortunately, we own Excaliburs. :D

I believe that with a large T-Square, aligned with the rail, that you could test weather the limb tips are at an equal distance fore and aft by marking the rail for one limb tip and then flipping the T-Square over and check/mark the other tip. If they are off any at all I would send the limbs/riser back for replacement as a unit & not try and loosen the limb mounting bolts. You could also check the rubber bumpers with the T-Square when you check the limbs but from your pictures they look good to me.

I agree....I will let Danny figure this out...amazing though how accurate it is considering all this...to say I love the Micro is an understetment.

A trick we always used on tough screws:
Put your allen key, driver bit or screwdriver in the slot and apply moderate loosening torque as you tap straight down with a hammer. Keep the same torque on the screw and keep tapping harder till you run out of courage or it breaks loose. With screws never put so much torque that the driver skips in the screw head. If the screw head is damaged and you can't get a good grip loosening, try to tap while tightening just enough to break it loose.

In same top pic the loop appears centered, but string is not once away from limb tip. Camera angle could factor but a reduction in limb edge seems to have it out of square, (part of straight edge/shoulder removed) at bottom.

Reading all these posts its almost like this family takes it personal when an Excalibur bow has a problem. That is what sets this forum apart from the rest. Really cool to listen in. Warms the heart it does. When your good your very good, but when your great its family.

Mine was Black Micro, split like an old laminated limb.
