I tried to order a scope from Natchez and they would not ship to Canada. They would ship other items but not a scope.

Just ordered one thanks for the tip. Talked to Leupold and Natchez they both said you might have trouble finding the blemish and they just might be floor models. With the lifetime warranty I could not pass it up. I will admit It will be hard to switch out my Lumizone scope which Excalibur does not make anymore. It has a bigger objective lens and it has the illuminated reticle. I hope the illuminated reticle does not come back to haunt me next year.

Thanks again BIG D

I'm sure you'll love it but I'd hang on to your lumizone just in case you decide you prefer having it. I shoot a loopy VX-R with the ballistic firedot reticle and can't imagine not having illumination. Besides,a backup is always nice to have....and congrats. :D

A guy on another forum (AT) just tried to order one and found that they will not sell to anyone in GA,TN or AL.

They discriminate...........

How does the crossbones compare to the Nikon Bolt XR? I just got my XR and the image clarity is impressive for a scope of this type/price.

Paulaboutform thanks for that advice. I think a leupold scope made for crossbows with proper parallax, speed ring, and illuminated reticle would be the ultimate x-bow scope; however, I could not wait with the great price offered. I own one Nikon and have read all positive comments about the bolt xr scope but cannot compare the two personally. I personally like the great customer service that leupold provides. The lifetime warranty, customer service, quality and the price were the reasons for this purchase.

Call me crazy, but I just placed an order w/ Natchez for the scope and I don't even have my Matrix 380 yet!

I have a Vari X III 1.75 - 6 on my 30.06 and the optics are amazing. It can be well past dusk and when you look through the scope it looks like high noon! I don't think I'll miss a lighted reticle.

Thanks SEW!

Congrats! I agree on the vx-3 I have one on my t/c venture 7mm-08 but I don't think are crossbones will have that quality of glass. Probably same as vx-1. I hope your right about not needing the illuminated reticle; however, I think the problem will be seeing the crosshair when its placed on that dark deer body those last few minutes of shooting light. I hope I am wrong.

I picked up one of the Leupold Crossbones from Natchez the last time the offered a "Blem" sale. Same price. I can't find anything wrong with the scope other than a tiny scratch on the vertical adjustment turret cover. Glad I took the plunge at the price. Hope you others that jumped get a similar deal.

Just providing an update in case others would want to order this scope from Natchez the next time they have this sale. My scope came w/ a very superficial 1/8" scratch on the tube. Based on the location, It looks like it was caused by a scope ring, so it must have been mounted at some point. Who knows...maybe when I get the 380 and set the scope for my eye relief, the scratch will be under my scope rings. Regardless, it's soo minor, it's well worth the $100 savings. Thanks again for the heads up on the sale!
