My only mistake

Post by BrotherRon »

When I wanted to buy my first crossbow I told the wife that if she let me buy an Excalibur Matrix it would be the last crossbow I would ever need to buy. (my mistake)
After I bought the Vixen she she made sure to bring that to my attention.
So I explained to her it will make a good backup, and I can let others borrow it to try out an excalibur. If I ever want to upgrade I may have to sell one first.
Her final word was... "NO MORE SPENDING ON CROSSBOWS"
I haven't told her I need to get some 20" arrows for the Vixen yet.
Maybe if I explain that 20" arrows will keep me from shooting my foot she will agree - but I'm afraid she will tell me I need to get rid of the Vixen then.
My house needs a new roof and the estimates we got are around 8000.00
I plan on doing it myself and will save around 3500.00
Gonna take an 8000.00 loan from my 401k to cover it and told her that with the money I saved I could buy her a new countertop and have enough left for another excalibur.
She didn't think it was as funny as I did.

Said good ones like that are few and far between. Besides we have been togeather 20 years and have only had one fight . It's lasted 20 years though . You guys won't show her this right

No Munch, I at least will keep that one to myself. My wife and I have a good balance. In just about all things, I got me a keeper for sure. In fact she says I really should get another bow. hmmmmm gonna have to think about that...........

"After I bought the Vixen she she made sure to bring that to my attention."

Thats when you break out into your VERY BEST..."Happy Birthday to you". It doesnt matter if its her birthday or not. Its the thought that counts!

Or if that doesnt work...Turn palms up and say" Well, you know all men are liars" and smile REALLY big.
