GT II's Twistin
Yup i stuck 8 of them into my boiler of water. When it were boilin several min's i got 1st one out n insert twisted out good. The 2nd dang near twisted in half on me. They jus can't stand much heat at all. Reckon i will get my cut off saw out n jus cut the ends off. My last foolin wid GT's of any series.

What I do is screw in a field point, turn on the propane soldering torch, get a pair of pliers and heat up the field point till the glue breaks. The trick for me is to pre torque the shaft in my hand in relation to the field tip being held by the pliers and keep the heat only on the field tip and at some point you will feel the insert give as the glue breaks down. I've never ruined a shaft doing this. Also very important, let the shaft cool at room temps, dont dip it in water to cool it because it can and probably will crack the shaft
