Matrix strings.....

Post by TMAX255 »

I bought a Matrix 380 when they first came out. Love the bow, but the string just will not stop stretching! I'm constantly tuning this bow. Can anyone tell me, are the Matrix strings being offered by Excal now the same as the strings that came on the original Matrix bows two years ago, or have they improved?

Get yourself a quality Flemish string from one of the makers on the trading post and you won't regret it.

....I own flemish strings from three different makers on this forum...I can tell you so far I have found them to be of high quality, professionally made and very little creep....

....I enjoy giving many different string makers a shot...so far with the strings I have used i have not been disappointed...and, oh yea....the prices are all over the board....

Agreed with what was said. I will add, rather than setting your string to the brace height you want, 3/4" for your M380, set it higher to pre load the string more. Try setting your brace height to 1 1/8" and shoot it like that and leave it to settle. Within 50-75 shots it should be much more stable and only need the occasional half a twist.
