I guess it just depends on the fit of each nock to each arrow... Not all luminocks are are a perfect.300 and not all shafts are a perfect .301 (or whatever it is). I had to sand on a few nocks and mix and match nocks to the shafts but once you get them set up man I love the Luminocks. Never tried the Ignitors so I can't comment on them.
Quick video in that backyard and pardon my redneck yankee accent LOL...

Slippery fresh red blood on your Lumenok makes it a bit harder to extinguish using your fingers only. Been there...

I love the Lumenoks so far as they trigger every time when shot and are very bright. I don't have zombies(Yet) and installed them in a few of my Quills. I sanded the inside of the bolts down and can easily turn them off or take them completely out by hand. I believe the zombies are smaller diameter so perhaps you can't shave them down without damage?

I have Luminoks, you DO NOT NEED pliers to turn them off. I use a piece of 3/8 rubber fuel hose that's split to slide up over the luminok to turn it off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhh8pFv7i_0

amythntr wrote:...I shoot the Nu-Fletch Archery Ignitors having switched over from the Lumenoks...they both have pros and cons in my opinion...

Lumenoks:

Pro:

-very reliable,
- 28 grains
- no gluing can be changed out,
-can change the battery,
- works great
-one piece design

Con:

- requires a pair of pliers (danny miller pliers) to extinguish,
- battery change out is cumbersome (IMO)
-never seen them on sale
-wire wraps around the part that lumenok could get damaged

Ignitors:

Pro:

- Very reliable
- 39 grain (might be considered a con by some)
- If using the paper bag (DIY) installation you don't need to glue insert
- the battery is the light stick which is easy to to change out,
- easy to extinguish- simply pull out the nock take out the light stick and pull up on the top part of the light (off) and replace in the insert and push nock back in.
- can purchase replacement light sticks
- Nu-Fletch archery runs sales and currently is running a sale on their multi paks thru 7/1

Con:

-39 g versus 28 for the Lumenoks,
- Mfg recommends gluing in the insert (see above for plastic bag insert method) therefore it would be permanent,
- comes in 3 parts- insert, lightstick and nock,
-concern over dropping light stick when removed for extinguishing (I found this unfounded.)

I have used both, both come in the .300 diameter flat nocks. I like both and would not hesitate in using either. I just now prefer the Ignitors as I have found them easier to use. I purchased 5-3pks in this latest sale...with delivery it was about 6.00 a nock....the lumenoks are about $9/each and I never see them on sale.

I hope this helps and it was meant to be unbiased.

Anthony :)
Great review! I took advantage of the sale on 7/1 and bought 3 kits!
Just saved a bunch of money on my lighted knocks. Thanks for the tip! :)

Just thought I would add one here. I've been shooting the Clean Shot Nock Outs for a couple of weeks now and they are working flawlessly. They are incredibly easy to turn off, but that's not the selling point for me. They have a collar that you simply turn and it locks it into practice mode and it doesn't allow the light to turn on. I'm shooting them out of BEE's (.300) but they come with 3 different insert sizes. The only con I see is it has a 12 hour battery life, but with having a practice mode that doesn't change the weight, you can practice with the exact same setup. Oh, another con for some would be the 34 grain weight as well. I picked up a 3 pack for 28.99 which isn't too bad. Check em out, you might like em. :)
