Diablo ?

Anybody take the time to spine their Diablo arrows to know which side is the stiffer side? If need be, did you fletch them again? thanks

My personal opinion, these arrows are for hunting. They're accurate enough to kill game at hunting distances. I wouldn't be spending my time trying to spine index and grain match these. I suppose it wouldn't hurt but those aren't arrows I'd be putting that effort into.

Guess i'm trying to decide if i want or need a better arrow than the stock Diablos. Right now, i just plan to deer hunt with my 355. Probably use 150 grain Spitfire or Slick Trick bhs and keep all my shots at 40 yards or less. I've watched youtube videos of people shooting some amazing groups out of the 380 and 355 with stock bolts! I'm talking 3-inch groups at 100 yards.

With the set-up I have now I might possibly attempt a 40 yard shot, but my normal hunting stands are set up between 18 & 25 yards.
At 40 yards I still don't shoot at the same bullseye, but one step forward and a 40 yard kill shot could easily become a wounded deer I would never find.

I don't know how many arrows you have, but I would recommend having at least 8. I shoot all of them to make sure they are hitting where I want them to, then 4 are put in the quiver to be used for hunting only. Additionally, I think the cost, and availability of Diablo's makes other options more appealing. JMHO!

How do you reckon GT Laser II compare? I have always found these to be very good shafts.
