Paisano's from 2 Countries Roughing it at Boofest!

Post by amythntr »

....Paul (paulaboutform) and myself have talked about how difficult it was going to be away from our wives and the Italian food that we are so used to eating ...we decided to just rough it by just eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on white bread until we returned home......

....Nah!!

....we changed our minds.... we are gonna just pick!.....

You nailed it right there Anthony! I've got the salsiche vacuum packed and ready to go in my luggage. Home grown, sun dried oregano for the Sicilian salad. Some more delli meats and cheese and we'll be all set. :D ....Don, it's okay for you to say 'mangia cake', you're like an Italian.

The mortadella has to be the San Daniella, from Italy, and because it has to be cut one setting above 'shave' it just doesn't travel well....and if I stop for fresh bread it really won't travel well! ...Fougetaboutit!

....OMG! I can smell the mortadella sitting in my chair at work....with the pistachio of course....you are absolutely right Paul about the proper slicing of the Mort....and I am with you with the traveling with it in my car!

....but the important thing here Paul is the Italian who posted this (MCS) is my good friend Mike from So. Joisey....he is jealous that he can't be at Boofest with us while we "pick!"

   You're right about the picking. It doesn't count as eating when you pick. It's more like a little snack....that never seems to end until you're too full to pick any longer. Kinda like sipping a little bit of Zio Michele's grappa, it's all fine until you go to stand up!

Very jealous. But I'm sure you will eat for both of us. To all who are attending I wish you a safe and fun shoot. I can't wait to hear all the stories and excuses.
