got it! micro
i finally got my micro. i have been researching crossbows since i started having shoulder trouble last year. reading , window shopping, googling, creeping around the Excalibur forum, went to a shop and shot a few, ect......
i finally decided on the micro 335 then worked all the overtime i could get and today i finally bought it.
i am having trouble with it already thou.... the trouble is i cant stop shooting it im shooting quills with 125 gr feildtips and shooting 2.5 to 3 in groups at 50 yards.
i do have a couple questions.... does it matter which way the hooks are on the cocker..up or down?
when hitting dead on at 20 and high at 30 , 40, 50 which way do i turn the dial on the octane scope?

Re: got it! micro
congrats,
If you have stock quills I thought they need 150 grain FT to reach 350 grains.
maybe I am wrong but you want to make sure your arrows are at least 350 grains,,,
I hook the string hooks up...I don't know if it matters though,
I think your speed dial may be set too low which brings the lower reticles down so you overshoot...turn speed dial to a higher FPS and try again...

Re: got it! micro
thanks norm. i will adjust it tomorrow and shoot again. the guy at the bow shop said the stock quills weighed 246 so with a 125 grain head im shooting 371 gr.
im glad they shoot that accurate because 125 gr gives way more options on choosing a broadhead. i shoot rage through my vertical bow but leaning toward a small fixed blade for this micro.

Congrats on your new bow!
I use hooks up so I can confirm the string is seated properly. Most important when you are un cocking in the dark cold after hunting. You do not want that string slipping out!

Re: got it! micro
Congrats to you on an excellent choice. I love the Micro. I have found that it tolerates a wide selection of broadheads from expandable heads to 4 blade and 3 blade heads with great accuracy and the same point of impact as my field points. Typically I sight in with broadheads first and the field points are always right there as well. I've shot the Rocket Aero heads, the Slick Trick magnums and standards and now the Ramcats... I'm currently shooting the Ramcats because the design and look appeal to me right now..lol. All heads are 100 grains.
All of these heads for me will shoot out the "x" at 50 yards if I do my part.
For info purposes, I'm shooting BEEs cut to 16" with 110 grain brass insert, 3 blazer vanes fletched on the "bolt" jig and a Lumenok for a completed 405 grain arrow.
My speeds average between 315-317 fps.
And the Micro is easy on the center serving too
