Squeaky Bow

Post by OldSchool »

Hi All,

I put a trigger tech trigger into my 380 Matrix and since I've put it all back together
I have a slight squeak between the stock and the rail.
I've tried tightening the hex bolts a bit more, but I'm leary of tightening too much and stripping them.
Has anyone had a similar situation, if so did you fix it and how.

Thanks,
Jim

Welcome, determine the location were the squeak originates, either under the forearm section or near the rear trigger section. Tighten that screw slowly one eighth of a turn at a time to remove the squeak.

A shot of silicone spray on the inside of your stock can go a very long way to address this. Key is to id where it is coming from. use some talc power or some machinist blue to find the guilty high spot and then knock it down. Just pulling it apart and putting it back together may also take care of it. Always try the easies (and cheapest) solution first!
