Kevin, just a dumb question from down south. Why put stringer on and rotate rather than put on as it goes? does this help with length?

belleriver, you know Kevin has a "source" at Excalibur, right? X2 on that's the way it should be.

One reason is because the stringing aid is farther up the limbs than the string which is attached to the very end of the limbs...can you imagine how hard it would pull if the stringing aid was attached to the middle of the limbs? I doubt even Arnold would be able to do it.
The other reason is because because you are starting with the cocking aid handles much higher -- the only way to get around this would be to have an extra cocking aid that is shortened up about 10 inches so that it is pre-loaded on the stringing aid.

Yes, it is working now that it is on you tube.
Thanks for going through the trouble to help others out.
It was nice to see you stop after getting the stringing aid on top of the hold down spring, but you didn't show it with the cocking aid riding above the stock on the safety mechanism

Now we just need to find a volunteer to demonstrate a dri-fire...
with and without an ADF installed. And sound is important

Sickening??? I almost wet myself the first time it happened to me
It is still bad enough now that I have an ADF installed. "PING"
On the bright side, at least I only have to check the serving and not the limbs now that I have installed an ADF
It seems to happen when I am really concentrating while sighting in a new scope or arrows. The last time I was sighting in with the new arrows I got from Big John. My wife was sitting in her lawn chair reading and she looked up and said... What was "That" sound?

Paul I found with a shorter new string it made putting it on easier then . Because the new one isn`t stretched yet enough to give that extra room . :)
