Used the shooting / sighting range at a friend's camp and was drilling spots out to 60yrds with the NAP 170gr field points...
Swapped out to the NAP F.O.C.s and started at 30yrds with the same bolt / BH was roughed in at the house @ 20yrds. I was a tad (.75") low / right. Adjusted the scope and it went 4" left and 3" high. Tried two others of the same combo I had yet to shoot and they were on target. Took the first (one with the most passes through targets) BH and moved it to one of the on-point bolts. Had to find it down range almost at 60 yards. TOTAL high / right miss.
Here is my theory: While cleaning out leftover target foam and having been shot almost 10 times, the retainer in the original BH got loose and was letting one blade open upon firing. This resulted in an imbalance and wildly erratic flight.
Going to take all the BH's off when I have an opportunity, put the field points back on and go from there...
At least I didn't see anything in the woods worth shooting this weekend...
