Thor throws a battle axe

Post by Buszone »

Hi,
Long time lurker first time poster(not much into social media) I'm a long time vbow user as first deer was in 1971 with 40lb Pearson. Anyway have killed lots of 4 legged creatures with everything from flintlock to a Lapua. Picked up a crossbow 3yrs ago just for something new just recently changed from 10pt. to Excalibur. Happy Happy!! as it looks like a bow! and not an old Jennings laid flat. I see tons of debate on here about BH's well Sunday morning Thor(my micro) threw the battle axe (Ramcat). I have been using this head 100gr. for two plus seasons,(prev.100gr.Thunderhead) and the results are always the same shoots true and blows thru 180lb whitetails like they aren't there, so when that 8 pt. showed up at 28yds. the bolt traveled another 30plus yards out the opposite side. So just saying if your looking for a fixed BH that flies true to aim and hits like a battle axe try em. Thanks for all the info you al provide.

....been seeing a lot of new forum members coming in from WI....great to see and I like the "Thor" and "Battle Ax" theme...nice to have you aboard...hope you get accustomed to the "social media" thing...but i just consider this more of sending emails...hope to see you in the "Excalibur Lodge" where the grill is always grillin and the beverages are always chillin...a lot to be learned and shared by so many teachers with a ton of knowledge...

Welcome, I am trying the Ramcat this year as well. And so far so good......well.........it blew the deer so well that it kept on going and ended up in the lake (shooting from the ground). So arrow gone, but a nice nice bloodtrail that was only about 30 yards long. :)
