...picked up an ozone generator on eBay for like $79.00...put all my clothes in a room for a couple of hours...turn on the OG and no smell other than the ozone which dissipates after a couple of hours...

During rain I use a tree stand umbrella which can be used as a protective canopy up in the tree or on the ground sitting . They are camo, large, light, portable and screw into the tree. About $25.

For my non water repellent gear, I sprayed it with Heavy Duty Camp Dri long before the season started. It helps keep you somewhat dry but the water will eventually seep through.

However, i also have a ground blind so unless I somehow get completely soaked before I get to it, I should be good to go once inside.

I also spray myself/clothes with scentblocker before I go in

I used a patio umbrella once. :D It worked.
The tree umbrella is like a half diameter umbrella top.
Tree umbrella mounting system seemed weak to me.
I welded a wood screw to a piece of round stock with a T handle cross piece added to turn it.
To hold the umbrella shaft a nut was welded on the end of the roundstock opposite the wood screw. (Nut inner diameter large enough to receive umbrella shaft, plus about a quarter inch more.).
A hole drilled through side of nut allowed a smaller nut to be welded flat on the side of the larger nut that holds umbrella shaft.
A thumbscrew goes through smaller nut to secure shaft.
(Obviously I don't thread and tap.)
Spent some time in foul weather under it. Minimal coverage though if windy.
I use rain gear or parka with a water barrier membrane.
Best method is to stay home, but not always an option!

Very simple, I put the gore tex on grab my benelli and the lab and just hunt ducks! Seriously, if its raining I don't bow hunt. I lost one years ago in my youth thanks to a misty rainy day, found the buck the next day in a laurel thicket spoiled and less then 100yds from where he was shot.

Most of my hunting is done in 3D cut leaf suit, screen style. Lets me do warm weather stuff too.
If it rains, I wear my Frogg Togg suit, never had a drop of water on me, did a 3 day fishing tournament in that suit, rained the whole time, I never got wet.
Light enough I can still do spring turkey hunts comfortably, rain is never an issue.

My 6 year old daughter and I will be hunting out of a ground blind tomorrow. I have no other option of hunting when it comes to taking her along. So luckily for us we'll be as dry as possible.

I'm just hoping the swamp that we're next to doesn't flood.

Now then, get your equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

Good advice if it's coming down hard!
I made the mistake of shooting one just before the skies opened up one time, and though I got her it was not a pleasant job to tracker her down. Had to push her and finally got another shot, but still had to push her out of a few more beds. If I could have waited 30 minutes she would have been dead within 50 yards of where I shot her, but I had to go after her because of the downpour washing all the sign away quickly.

I guess I'm spoiled.

I hunt from a (tree stand) that is almost as comfy as home. You can't see it in the pic but my "seat" is one of those adjustable office chairs - ya, life is rough
