Re: New to this forum
My next one will be a Grizzly. I will put an upgrade scope on it, etc. but for what the bow weighs, and what it produces for the price, it is high on my list as I age. I know it will be plenty of bow for my hunting needs as well.

After weeks of reading everything I could find on here and everywhere else everything pointed me to Danny Miller,so after a few phone calls putting me on the right track for what I was wanting and looking for in a Excalibur I'll be making the order this Thursday

Welcome to the forum I don't get to log on and comment too much with working all the time, but you sure will learn a lot by reading all the post on this forum.
Look hard at the Grizzly my son has shot the Grizzly at Cabelas and loves shooting it its lightweight, compact and for the money you can afford all kinds of extras. I'm going to try to buy one as soon as I can convince the wife I need another crossbow.

Re: New to this forum
Hello everyone.
I have been hunting for about 6 years now and have used rifles, ML, shotguns and compound bows. I have ordered an Equinox from EBay. You know the $599 pkg. This will be my first crossbow. I have two questions for right now. I am sure I will have more in the future.
1)- How do you change the nocks to lighted ones? It looks like the nocks that are on the bolts are threaded. What size is that thread pattern? My guess is there is a tool to install and pull the original ones out. If so, can I install a bolt or screw and pull them out with a pliers?
2)- On the pgk. for the lighted nocks there are numbers (no. 1,2,3...). What do these numbers mean? Size? Weight?
Thanks

You did a good job of stating your needs and limitations that has allowed good feedback. Welcome to the crossbow world. You must know quite a bit, as it took some of us others a lot longer to find the best xbow company.Drs wrote:Looks like a lot people on here sure likes the grizzly

Excellent choice..I'm 61 have had 3 knee operations and back surgery and the Grizzly has not been a problem for me. Only thing I've done with it is put a Nikon Bolt scope on it.

Re: New to this forum
I think you mentioned possible limb isues with the 330 and 355... I have not run into many if any posts concerning the 355 and lower bows... I think those are pretty bullett proof.. I have a 355 and she's a hunter for sure.... butttttt I also have a 175# Axiom SMF with a rail similar to the grizzly.
No problems with it at all and boy is she sweet to shoot for an extended period of time... fast enough also IMO, at 305 fps.
The prices on these seem way down at this time, especially with nicely put together but slightly used packages..
Just food for thought.
BTW, I can't remember anyone ever mentioning a limb issue with a 175 or 200# wider limb bow.

Great choice. Happy shooting and safe hunting with your new Grizzly.
