My red dirt/mud food plot is doing great I think ...

Post by XcaliburFX »

Got this planted 2 weeks ago and it seems to be doing well. If you have ever tried planting red Ga dirt you know what I mean about it is a bugger to get "what you want" to grow there.

This is not a big plot, but as big as I had room for. I have a mini plot at my honey hole, but forgot to snap a pic. Soon though. :)

That looks like it's coming on pretty nice! We have Alabama red clay here so I know what you're talking about, it's also a challenge to get stuff to grow for us. When wet it's slick as snail snot and when the sun dries it out it's hard as a brick. :(

Thanks guys! :) I think it is going to do well, and just maybe Big Boy will step out to take a bite one fine morning. While I am there of course locked and loaded, would be the best time for that to happen. :D

Yep Keg, it is basically the same here. I lived in Alabama 11 years on a Red Dirt Road, before moving back to GA, and just trying to get back to the highway was a heck of a drive at times, especially in the winter lol.

Here's wishing the best deer season to you all. :)
