CB Target for Broadheads
I looking to purchase a new crossbow target for use with broadheads. Which ones do you guys recommend?
I'm looking at this target sold at Cabela's:
http://www.cabelas.com/product/the-bloc ... 634.uts%3F
For shooting with a crossbow...will a normal target designed to take broadheads work with crossbow arrows, or do you need one specifically designed for crossbows? I can see the crossbow arrows possibly over-penetrating a normal target...

Re: CB Target for Broadheads
Ideally, you want a BH target rated for a crossbow... The 18-1 is a good target for Bhs, but so is the Blob target... The Blob will last you a long time but it is not what I would call a portable target because they heavy but will stop them all..

The Blob target looks interesting. Have you used one before with the crossbow, shooting fixed blade broadheads?

How difficult is pulling out a crossbow arrow with a broadhead attached? Do you need an arrow puller to yank them out?GrassyKnoll wrote:Yes, I have a Blob for about two years now.... They take a beating and in my opinion worth the money........
Also, can you leave them outside or will they fall apart easily with the rain and snow?
Re: CB Target for Broadheads
I would also recommend the blob target. And the one you were thinking of from Cabelas, the field logic block target is supposed to be good as well.
Got to say I'm not really that impressed with the Rinehart targets. My target ball did not last long at all.

I just made this one from an old foam target I had from 27yrs ago. Cut it into 4pcs and gorilla taped it together. Very light and stops my vertical bow easily. I will try the crossbow tonight.

Re: CB Target for Broadheads
I just found out that there are targets from:
Blobtargets.net
Blobtargets.com
It looks like these two companies may have broken away from each other. They both sell similar sized targets, around the same price. Which company did you guys order from?

Pulling broadheads is not that bad, depending on a persons physical condition.. It is not a two finger removal by any means, but once you get a feel for the target it becomes easier...
Mine has been outside for two years and looks no worse for wear.. You definitely do not want to shoot an arrow into it if left outside in sub "0" temps for a day or two though..
Order from either company, it is the same product. I bought mine locally for almost half the price advertised, because no one wanted them because they are UGLY...LOL .. I should of bought all three at the time my shop was carrying them.
