Got a call from a friend of mine at work today. Invited me up on the Missouri, Iowa line for a weekend of deer hunting. Man this place is the home of the BIG BOYS. Leaving in the morning. I hope to have some great stories when I get back Sunday night. Hope I can sleep tonight. Wish me luck.

I can only hunt on weekend due to my work schedule. I've been out for the last two weekends, hunting public land. Have seen several deer, but have not gotten a shot yet. Muzzleloading season opens tomorrow here, and I have an invitation to hunt some private land on the opener. I was going to hunt crossbow only this year, but I scouted the land, and where the owner has me positioned, it will most likely be a very lucky encounter to get one into bow range. So will take his offer and use the old flintlock this one time. Then I'm back to crossbow for the rest of the year. I am determined to take one with the Exomag. I don't want to compete with guns on opening weekend, but don't want to miss a weekend either. Do any of you guys hunt with anything other than crossbow?
