I love mine...i think it helps bring my eye to the scope, none of that moving my head back & forth to get the scope lined up. :)

One came on my 380 it was one of the reasons I got the 380 as I thought I'd want it on any bow I got...but turns out it's quite a lot too low for me to use the way I'm used to with a rifle. If I got another bow that didn't have one I doubt I'd spend the money on it.

I like them and have put them on my last two Excliburs, an M-355 and Axiom. I find them much smoother on my cheek and easier to adjust my face slightly should eye-relief need adjusting back or forth slightly.
I find the somewhat round ridge on top of the stock uncomfortable, as my face and cheeeks are possibly fuller than others may have.

The recent new Micro came with one mounted in a somewhat different way with two screws from the back side.... I really like that one.

BTW, I found Danny Miller had the best prices when I bought mine as well as a full selection of camo patterns to match your bow @ $25.00 plus a bit to ship.

Yeah, the cheek piece is kinda useless the way it is. Several members have built theirs up or came up with new solutions. FlightAttendent and Paulaboutform may have done this already...I can't remember who exactly.

I made this for my Savage 220...and I'm working on this concept for the M355...

I put one on my Vortex and find this to be the case as well. I like my cheek piece very much. :)

I did a minimalist type.

I took some white plastic pipe and cut a slit in it so it would slide tightly over the bulge at the top the stock. I don't know exactly what size, something I had lying around. 3/4 or 1" I would think.
Then some hot water pipe insulation foam glued to that.
Covered with camo duct tape. The stuff sticks amazingly well to the foam.

It's lasted 3 years and though the tape has faded some it's still intact.
It's solid, comfortable in the cold and just the right height.

I like mine on my Grizzly but the only thing I have to complain about is that it only comes in black for the Griz. Part number 7001 fits the Grizzly. I spray painted mine but it would have been nice to have a Mossy Oak one to match the finish on the Grizzly.

Thanks for the part number as of now its really not of importance to me I shoot the bow well an is very accurate. But I would lime to have one. An With the mixed reviews on it seems like its a total preference situation. I've even considered the reds but a spare string is one thing I do need. I see alot talking about a flem string but I'm not smart enough to know the difference between a flem.an stock string

Those look like they'd do the trick quite nicely and at a pretty good price too. :)

Every bit helps to get your eye in line with the scope. I did convert a Phoenix over using a rifle stock cheekpiece made by Matthew's Fabrication. It ran around $45 bucks or so http://matthewsfabrication.com/
Image

It is ~1/8" thick Kydex plastic, if you get it warm it becomes very pliable. It wants to return to its original flat shape if you get it too warm in boiling water, I went from having a U shaped piece back to a flat sheet. Luckily I was able to reshape it back to where it fit snugly against the stock. Might be a good option with the grizzly, especially if those holes go all the way through the stock.

Image

It did require drilling two 1/4" holes through the stock for the clamping bolts to go through. I am probably going to change it using the other cheekpiece adjustment method that I posted as it is less flexible than the saddle mount cheekpiece additions. The rounded saddles don't give you quite the crisp edge to get a consistent anchor point, they are still far better than having your head floating though.

You should be able to bring the stock up and get in a comfortable position with your cheek against the stock and not have to shift your head up to see full field of view on your stock.
