TT Trigger problem

Post by SEW »

My 2.5# DS TT trigger string latch won't come down on my M405. I don't use rail lub. Seems like possibly a weak spring, whatever. However, just when the rut is starting, or starting to start, I can't use my primary crossbow! I hate to take it apart, resight, etc. suggestions? Please tell me what to do.

Get your back up ready. Get a call into Trigger Tech. Might consider getting another trigger for it while yours is down. Bad time of the year for trigger problems.

FWIW, I have never had a POI change when exchanging triggers or removing and reinstalling my scope rail. Sorry to hear of your problem.

Thank you for your responses. Frank G. (Trigger T) sent me a prompt email with the obvious correct question: Does the trigger move freely? Ans: No. I just sent him my response.
Again, thanks.

Frank's response:

With your thumb on the back of the trigger lever, push the trigger lever forward with medium effort, not enough to bend the lever.

It should reengage. Then pull it regularly and the latch should move freely when activated with a string or some other tool that can fit in there to false cock the trigger.

Let me know.

It worked! And what a simple fix!
