Question for the Excalibur old timers "Exomag"

Post by jparchery »

A guy I work with has a Exomag, it has mag tip limbs and comes with scope and a few other accessories, he wants to sell it to me and for me to make him an offer. He can't remember the year he bought it but thinks it's from the late 90's. Anyone know about this bow and what's a reasonable offer? I was thinking 350$ - 400$

That's all I've ever used. Never had need for a new one.

Bought mine in 2002 all scoped out. Don't remember what I paid for it, it seemed like a lot at the time, but it was worth every penny. Kills deer just fine.
Don't look at the antlers!! And don't look him in the eye!!

2002 Exomag
Custom wood stock with a lot of notches in it
Big John arrows
Loving every minute of it.

Offer $350 it would be a good buy for you I do not think I would go over $ 400 unless it had some really good accessories.

I just offered 400$, comes with shadow zone scope, new string, case,10 arrows, 3 excal broad heads. I'm just waiting for his response, I think I'll go to 450$ max, it's in mint condition!

Thats pretty cheap and sounds like a good deal. I had an Exocet which wasnt as fast as the Exomag and it was good enough as well. I ended up selling it for the Micro because I love the small size. You wouldnt think so but 10" narrower is quite a bit. If you have to go much more than $400 you might want to consider buying a new one. The Matrix 355 or Micro 335 is $900. If you can wait for a deal its not that much more.
I see you're living in my neighborhood so I wanted to fill you in on the cheapest local store.
I got mine at a no tax sale plus 10% discount at LeBaron. I paid $810 plus the $25 for membership so $835 out the door. They do that a few times a year. This week is another no tax sale so it would be $900 for camo or black and in stock in mississauga

Thanks for the info, I got the bow and accessories for 450$ I pick it up Wednesday. I have a matrix 405 now and want something to shoot targets and just mess around with. I know the Exomag has more than enough power to take down any animal that I hunt,( deer, turkey, moose), I really wanted something that cocks back easy, so I know I'll be happy. I'll post a picture of it when I pick it up

Sounds like one heck of a deal to me. Congrats on your new Exomag. :)
