Nice job on the doe. The ones that you outsmart after they make your life difficult are the ones I cherish the most. Its all about the challenge. Getting one really close on the ground ranks right up there with stalking one down with a bow.

Thanks everyone!

I wish I was so skilled as to pull off a walk & stalk with a crossbow. I've only managed it with a rifle. No, this time it was like a lot of my crossbow hunts in recent years; improvised on the spot with the changing conditions and tucking myself small into some bit of natural cover. Make like a pinecone!
