crosman pioneer airbow

Check this out, if states legalize it for hunting, xbows will have some serious competition.

I hope we don't , Its not a bow in any way . Kind of pointless really . Saw this on one of the air gun forums I frequent . I just don't get why this is better than a crossbow or a big bore air gun .

Reminds me of some one I know who shot a couple arrows out of a .410 shotgun . sat the nock end in the wad cup of a shell without shot .kinda worked but burnt up the vanes pretty bad

This is not a particularly new creation, the patent on these from the folks at Swivel Machine must have ran out, which is why we are now seeing other competitors making their own versions.

They made both a version that mounted on a Ruger 10/22 that used .22 powder blanks and a version that ran from CO2 or compressed air.

The compressed air version from them would go 600 FPS, while the .22 version would do 435 FPS.

This is what a 16 inch Easton 2512 at 720 FPS does to an 18 in 1 target.

I have since backed down my speed to around 450 FPS as it is not really that fun to have to refletch after every single shot.

They are really fun to shoot, although definitely not a bow.

Yup they have been around for some time . There is a kit/arrow gun from fx airguns as well as a kit for the airforce condor .I'll stick to my outdated Excaliburs for slinging arrows
