DrStirrup dBKiller Silencers location question

Post by Gregoire1960 »

Hi guys,

I just got finished installing my stirrup & dBKiller silencers on my bow. Trying to determine where they should be placed along the limb. The instructions were a little confusing to me.

I have an Exocet 165 with Mag tip limbs installed. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I hear ya. I was in that boat at first also. I just posted in a different post on where I found to be the best location on my matrix 355. I did some experimenting with my chrony. They usually start about 4 inch from the riser. I have some pics on here if you look up past post about drstirrup. Just not sure right now what post it was? You'll like them.

Thanks guys. I'll go with 6 inches on mine since the limbs are longer ones.

you should put them on the none working part of the limb . yea it sounds like it is wrong but no .read the instructions on the package and it will tell you . that's where I put mime and it works great . the string bumpers are just a bit longer than the ones that come with the bow so with the DR. Sturrip you have the string compressed about 1/16 into the bumper . he designed that way. good luck with your set up .
