Any chance the string is coming into contact with the arrow retainer when the string slips/jumps? That could possibly cause the ping sound and it's right around that area. Just a thought. :)

I'll join the funky noise at the same spot club -- happens with the C2 on both my 380 and the 405 --- has done it for some time -- does not happen with rope cocker so I just ignored it --- and that was umpteen hundred shots ago. I have tried to sort out zactly what it is but so far not sure --- like I said just ignore it.
