Why are you using such long vanes?Do you keep that quiver on while you are hunting? For longtime we only use small blazer vanes and I will not shoot any bow with quiver on but I am set in my ways of what works but NEW to crossbows..Nice looking set up you have and having WHITE in your vanes helps see it go thru a buck...

The longer vanes help stabilize the arrow at longer ranges for me. The quiver comes off as soon as I'm in the stand or blind. The white vane is my cock vane, my arrows are indexed for stiffness. Thanks!

The SK-300's do seem to add in stability at longer yardage. I used them for a while but found it to be a poor tradeoff in the wind. I found in the wind they were affected much more than the 2" vanes, being thrifty,,, I went with the blazers, without wind flags on windy days they worked much better for me. The Tapps with the SK-300's are a good setup other than wind.

The 400 grains should make them tack drivers and give you great penetration!! Good Luck next deer season, and when you drop that gobler don't forget the pics,,,,,
